Gertrud Hagemann had had a Rolleiflex since 1930, which allowed her to take photographs independently. The present pictures were taken between 1930 and 1943. The titles were written by her.

In the years 1927-1939 and 1950-1965 Gustav Hagemann traveled the far north. The illustrations are inspired by life on the north Norwegian coast and were created between 1927 and 1929.
